Clark Co. Unveils Host Farm for 2022 Farm Tech Days
Wisconsin Ag Connection - 10/09/2019
Committee members in charge of planning the 2022 Farm Technology Days in Clark County have announced their choice on who will host the event. Roehl Acres will spend the next several years planning for the three-day farm show, which will be held in July 12-14 of that year.
Owned by the Dennis and Suzie Roehl family, the 500-cow dairy is a third-generation operation located just south of Loyal. They also raise crops on over 750 acres of farmland.
"In 1983, I went to my first Farm Progress Days Show (in Clark County) when I was 14 years old and I thought it was the greatest thing I had ever been to," Roehl said. "Now, 36 years later I will be the host farm for Farm Technology Days 2022. In a way, I
have been preparing for this all of my life."
In addition to the 1983 show, the county also held the event in 2005 at Malm's Rolling Acres near Loyal.
Earlier this week, the state WFTD board of directors announced they are calling off plans to hold a non-county hosted event in Jefferson County during the summer of 2021. But preparations are well underway to run next year's show at Silver Springs Farms in
Eau Claire County on July 21-13, 2020. The board is also taking applications from counties interested in hosting in 2023.
