The Wisconsin Farm Bureau Federation is accepting applications for four internship positions scheduled for 2027, offering students and emerging professionals opportunities to gain practical experience in agriculture, education, communications, leadership, and digital media.
One position is available through Wisconsin Agriculture in the Classroom (AITC). The program helps K-12 students learn about agriculture by providing educators with curriculum materials, teaching resources, and lessons that explain how food is produced. The program integrates agricultural education into existing classroom subjects.
The Wisconsin Agriculture in the Classroom Intern will gain experience in nonprofit operations, curriculum development, volunteer coordination, and professional networking.
Responsibilities will include helping create agricultural literacy resources, supporting professional development activities for educators and volunteers, and assisting with AITC participation in events across Wisconsin. The internship is scheduled to run from May through August 2027.
The Wisconsin Farm Bureau Federation is also offering three additional internships. The organization represents farms across the state and operates through 61 county Farm Bureaus, with leadership provided by farmers and agricultural professionals.
The Wisconsin Farm Bureau Communications Intern will work on social media, multimedia content, event coverage, publications, and website updates.
The position will provide experience in developing digital campaigns, creating content for various platforms, and improving website visibility through search engine optimization. The internship will run from January through August 2027.
The Leadership & Programs Intern will support Farm Bureau programs, committees, and events. Duties will include helping develop materials for the Wisconsin FFA Discussion Meet, supporting the Promotion and Engagement Committee and Young Farmer and Agriculturist Committee, assisting with FFA Farm Forum planning, and promoting Farm Neighbors Care resources. This internship is scheduled for May through August 2027.
The Gather Wisconsin Intern will support the Farm Bureau's consumer-focused Gather Wisconsin brand. Responsibilities will include website and social media management, email newsletter support, multimedia campaign development, and reviewing SEO performance. This internship will run from January through August 2027.
Applications for all four positions are open through November 16, 2026. Detailed job descriptions and application instructions are available through the Wisconsin Farm Bureau Federation's careers page.
