Three board members of the Wisconsin Farm Bureau Federation have been named to various advisory committees on the American Farm Bureau.
WFBF President Joe Bragger of Independence was selected to serve on the water committee, which covers Clean Water Act issues, national and regional water storage programs, Army Corps of Engineers water related efforts and flood control.
Don Radtke, Merrill, will be on the agricultural labor committee. He and his fellow committee members will explore topics like guest worker programs, OSHA regulations, employment taxes and health care.
And Robert Nigh of Viroqua was chosen for the animal care committee. That group examines current animal care and animal health standards, antibiotic use and livestock processing.
There are 13 AFBF committees that will meet in conjunction with the Advocacy Conference in Washington, D.C. at the end of February.
Each of the committee assignments run for a two year term.
