Class III Milk Price Spikes Up to $21.04 for June
Wisconsin Ag Connection - 07/02/2020

June was truly a good dairy month for many farmers across the country. That's because the Federal Order Class III milk price saw a much needed rebound by averaging $21.04 per hundredweight. That was $8.90 more than May's price, and $4.77 higher than June 2019.

By contrast, the Class III price for each of the first five months of this year were $17.05, $17.00, $16.26, $13.07 and $12.14, respectively.

The Class IV component price was $2.23 higher than last month at $12.90, but $3.93 less than last year.

Meanwhile, the Wisconsin all milk price for May was announced at $13.60 per cwt., down 40-cents from April's price and $4.60 less than the same time a year earlier. The mail box price in June is expected to be much greater.
