Speakers Announced for PDPW Business Conference
Wisconsin Ag Connection - 01/25/2022

The Professional Dairy Producers of Wisconsin is providing a glimpse of what attendees can expect to see at this year's annual business conference. Event coordinators have released the names of some of the session speakers for the March 16-17 forum, which takes place at the Kalahari Resort in Wisconsin Dells.

Dr. David Kohl of Virginia Tech University will be among the opening breakout session speakers. He will deliver a presentation on the common characteristics of the most efficient dairies and how fine tuning your decision making can cut costs and retain employees while increasing profits. Motivational speaker Bruce Vincent will kick-off the opening session with his findings on natural resource issues. Dr. Frank Mitloehner, PhD, a professor and air quality Extension Specialist with the University of California-Davis, will talk about his research to mitigate air emission from livestock operations and the implications of emissions on the health and safety of farm workers and neighboring communities.

Also this year, Charlie Arnot of the Center for Food Integrity will discuss ways to stay a step ahead of changing tides from the consumer standpoint. And Eric Snodgrass, a meteorologist with Nutrien Ag Solutions, will provide a global weather update on what producers can expect in the upcoming months as they prepare for another growing season.

"We couldn't be more excited about how plans are coming together for this year's event," said PDPW Board President Katy Schultz. "If you can only attend one professional-development program this year, this is the one that'll maximize your time away. The concepts you'll learn and the networking you'll do will allow you to return to your dairy with a world of new ideas that’ll deliver returns in 2022 and beyond."

Meanwhile, PDPW will again hold its popular NEXUS Stage this year, where businesses can share the newest innovative products. And hundreds of exhibitors will be onhand for the Hall of Ideas trade show.

All sessions will be simultaneously translated for attendees whose native language is Spanish.
