Cover Crop Field Day Slated for August 24 Near Chetek

Local farmer-led watershed councils and the Northwest Graziers Network are co-sponsoring a field day in northern Wisconsin next week to discuss cover crops. The event begins at 10:00 a.m. at the Logan and Amber Dwyer farm, where they grow diversified
crops and run a cattle operation on about 250 acres west of Chetek.
Attendees will learn about relay cover crops with soybeans and winter wheat.
Lunch will be provided following the field day by the Farmers of Barron Co Watersheds and the Shell Lake/Yellow River farmer-led watershed councils.
