Alan Koepke Memorial Scholarship Opens for Ag Students

Alan Koepke Memorial Scholarship Opens for Ag Students

By Blake Jackson

Applications are now being accepted for the Alan Koepke Memorial Scholarship, which supports high school seniors and college students pursuing careers connected to agriculture and the dairy industry. Students have until December 1, 2026, to apply.

Created in 2025, the scholarship honors Alan Koepke and his lasting contributions to agriculture, education, and the dairy community. The fund was created through memorial gifts from Koepke’s family, friends, and colleagues to Dairy’s Foundation.

Their contributions reflect a commitment to helping students who share a strong interest in agriculture and want to contribute to the industry.

Starting with the 2027-28 academic year, the program expects to provide at least two $2,000 awards. One scholarship will go to a high school student planning to begin undergraduate studies in fall 2027, while another will support a current college student.

Eligible applicants must plan to pursue undergraduate education at a qualifying Wisconsin institution. Options include the UW Farm and Industry Short Course, accredited technical schools and colleges, and Wisconsin universities offering programs such as agricultural business, animal science, food science or related disciplines.

Applicants should demonstrate a strong interest in dairy and a commitment to applying their education, professional skills or talents to support dairy farmers and businesses serving the industry.

Recipients are expected to be selected and notified in February 2027, with the scholarship winners announced during the PDP Business Conference on March 16-17, 2027. Application materials and eligibility information are available through Dairy’s Foundation website.
