Application Deadline Extended for Chippewa Co. Farm Tech Hosts

Local committee members in charge of choosing the location for the 2024 Wisconsin Farm Technology Days in Chippewa County have extended the deadline for host farms to apply.

The group has developed a criteria sheet that describes the requirements to host the show, including the need for such a farm to have 400 to 500 acres of tillable land for Tent City, parking and field demonstrations. There are also opportunities for neighboring farmers to collaborate as a host farm, as well.

Tuesday, May 10 is the deadline to apply. The committee's final decision is expected to be released later this week.

The county will be holding the state's largest outdoor farm show for the third time, as it hosted the former Wisconsin Farm Progress Days in 1968 and Farm Tech Days in 2004.
