Professional Dairy Producers (PDP) will feature two informative episodes of The Dairy Signal this week, offering dairy farmers valuable guidance on business planning and farm management. The upcoming sessions will focus on lease agreements for farm facilities and updates on federal agricultural programs.
The episode scheduled for Tuesday, March 17, will highlight key considerations for negotiating lease agreements related to farm buildings and livestock facilities. Participants will learn about useful tools, resources, and practical steps to help establish fair and effective lease arrangements. The session will be presented by Kelly Wilfert, Farm Law Outreach Specialist at University of Wisconsin-Madison.
On Thursday, March 19, viewers will receive the latest updates on federal farm programs from the USDA Farm Service Agency. Sandy Chalmers, State Executive Director for the USDA Wisconsin Farm Service Agency, will discuss current programs, policy updates, and important deadlines. The presentation will also include information originally shared during the 2026 PDP Business Conference.
Episodes of The Dairy Signal are accredited through Dairy AdvanCE, allowing dairy producers, industry professionals, and students to earn continuing education units (CEUs) by watching live or recorded sessions.
The program airs live every Tuesday and Thursday from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. CT, providing opportunities for participants to ask questions and interact with presenters. Recordings are also available online shortly after each broadcast.
