The Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection (DATCP) will reveal the top candidates for the 79th Alice in Dairyland on Friday, March 6, 2026.
The announcement will take place during a press conference at 11:30 a.m. at the Fairfield Inn, located at 7100 Stone Ridge Drive in Weston, Wisconsin. Members of the media are invited to attend the event.
Following the announcement, the selected candidates will be available for interviews and photographs alongside Sarah Hagenow, who currently serves as the 78th Alice in Dairyland. The event marks the official start of the final stage in the selection process for Wisconsin’s agricultural ambassador.
After the press conference, the top candidates will begin preparations for the three-day Alice in Dairyland Finals, scheduled for May 14-16 in Marathon County. During the finals, participants will be evaluated by a three-member panel on their communication and marketing abilities, as well as their knowledge of Wisconsin agriculture.
Candidates will take part in mock television and radio interviews, deliver speeches, submit writing samples, and engage with the public.
The 79th Alice in Dairyland will be crowned on May 16, 2026, at the Hilton Garden Inn in Wausau.
