The Wisconsin Pork Association (WPA) is excited to welcome pork producers and industry professionals to the 2025 Corn-Soy Expo, taking place on February 6 and 7, 2025, at the Kalahari Resort in Wisconsin Dells.
This premier event offers a blend of business insights, educational opportunities, networking, achievement recognition, and entertainment tailored for those in pork production and corn and soybean farming.
The Expo kicks off with a keynote by atmospheric scientist Eric Snodgrass from Conduit Ag. Following his address, Davis Michaelson, host of the Grow Getters podcast, will discuss succession planning and integrating side businesses with traditional farming practices.
WPA’s annual meeting will convene on Thursday, February 6, at 10:30 a.m. in Africa 10. This meeting allows members to shape the organization’s future by voting on resolutions, electing the 2025 WPA board of directors, and selecting 2026 Pork Act delegates.
Scholarship and award recipients will also be honored, and attendees will receive updates from the National Pork Board and National Pork Producers Council.
After the annual meeting, participants can attend a wide array of seminars covering essential topics in the pork and agriculture industries. Thursday’s sessions will address farm succession planning, climate-smart grants, cyber threats, innovative soy foam uses, DOT standards, and weed control strategies.
On Friday, Matt Bennett of AgMarket.net will provide an in-depth market outlook to start the day. The program continues with a pork-specific product showcase highlighting cutting-edge technologies and resources, followed by sessions on contingency planning for pig farms and mental health awareness.
Attendees can enjoy a break with lunch entertainment provided by comedian Greg Warren before diving into a highly anticipated trade policy discussion.
Thursday evening features WPA’s signature “Porkapalooza” event at 5:30 p.m. in the Africa West ballroom. This lively gathering includes unique pork hors d’oeuvres, live music by Wisconsin’s Super Tuesday, and exciting live and silent auctions.
Auction items range from weekend getaways and sports memorabilia to farm supplies and local gift baskets, with proceeds supporting youth programs and industry initiatives.
Early bird registration ends on December 31, 2024. To register for the annual meeting and Porkapalooza, contact WPA at wppa@wppa.org or 608-723-7551. For full event registration, visit https://cornsoyexpo.org/.
