Governor Tony Evers has announced the appointment of Patti Habeck to the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection (DATCP) Board, with her term beginning on July 16, 2025.
Habeck brings extensive experience in organizational leadership and regulatory compliance. Habeck currently serves as President and CEO of Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin, where she has led the organization through major strategic and financial changes.
Under her leadership, the food bank has expanded its ability to distribute nutritious food to families across 35 counties in Wisconsin.
“Thank you to Gov. Evers for appointing Ms. Habeck as the newest member of the DATCP Board,” said DATCP Secretary Randy Romanski. “Ms. Habeck understands the importance of community engagement and has experience connecting hardworking Wisconsin farmers and hungry people in our communities. I look forward to working with her on the DATCP Board.”
Habeck’s academic background includes a Bachelor of Science degree in biology and chemistry from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire and a Master of Science degree in education from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville.
Habeck currently resides in Appleton and is expected to bring a strong community-focused perspective to the board’s work in supporting Wisconsin agriculture, trade, and consumer protection efforts.
