By Blake Jackson

Entries are now open for the Dairy Cattle Show at the 58th annual World Dairy Expo, set to take place in Madison, Wisconsin. Exhibitors can submit entries exclusively online at worlddairyexpo.com.

The initial entry deadline is Monday, September 1 at 11:59 p.m. (CDT). Late entries will be accepted through September 12 for an additional fee to be included in the cattle log. After that, entries will still be accepted up until 5:00 p.m. (CDT) the day before each breed’s show.

The Dairy Cattle Show will run from Sunday, September 28 through Friday, October 3. Full event details, rules, and entry requirements are outlined in the premium book, available for download on the Expo’s website.

Exhibitors can also request a mailed copy by contacting Laurie Breuch (lbreuch@wdexpo.com) or Lexa Miller (lmiller@wdexpo.com).

World Dairy Expo is actively monitoring the situation surrounding Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (H5N1) in coordination with state and federal animal health agencies.

All lactating cattle must undergo an Influenza A PCR test as outlined in the health regulations. Exhibitors are encouraged to consult with their state animal health official for testing deadlines. For the latest updates, visit the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture’s H5N1 resource page.

This year’s show introduces specific start times for cow and heifer classes. The International Junior Holstein Show cow classes will begin at noon on Sunday, September 28. All other breed shows will follow a split-day format.

Genomic awards, sponsored by Siemers Holsteins, will also be presented to the top GTPI-ranked animals placing in the upper two-thirds of each class.

As the global hub for the dairy industry, World Dairy Expo offers attendees a world-renowned cattle show, industry seminars, trade exhibits, and networking opportunities.

The 2025 event promises innovation, education, and top-tier competition for dairy professionals worldwide.
