Kim Bremmer, David Kohl to Open 2019 Corn/Soy Expo
Wisconsin Ag Connection - 01/08/2019

Registrations are still being accepted for the Wisconsin Corn/Soy EXPO educational sessions and trade show, scheduled for January 31 through February 1 at the Kalahari Conference Center in Wisconsin Dells. Organizers say the event will kick off with an early riser session featuring commodities expert Kevin Van Trump. That will be followed by a presentation by Kim Bremmer, who will discuss Talk vs. Truth About Agriculture; and a keynote by Dr. David Kohl on Agriculture in a Changing Economy.

Other educational breakout sessions will cover topics like tax reform for farmers, cover crops & tillage practices, soybean disease management, succession planning in a down economy, and new highlights from the Discovery Farm program.

On day two, attendees will hear from Naomi Blohm, who will focus her address on how politics, China and ample supplies will effect the grain markets. And Farm Journal Columnist John Phipps will be back this year to review What Works, What Doesn't and What We Could Try. A panel discussion on the outlook of the export market will also be held.

As always, the event serves as the annual meeting spot for the Wisconsin Corn Growers Association, Wisconsin Corn Promotion Board, Wisconsin Soybean Association, Wisconsin Soybean Marketing Board, and Wisconsin Pork Association.

The annual gathering provides an opportunity for producers to mix business with family time at a popular Wisconsin winter destination. Admission to the Pork Producers Taste of Elegance reception is included as part of Corn/Soy EXPO and a special overnight standard room rated at the Kalahari are available for registered conference attendees.

Registration materials are available online at or you can request information by calling the Wisconsin Soybean Program office at 608-274-7502 or the Wisconsin Corn Program office at 262-372-3289.
