Wisconsin Farm Bureau Endorses Van Orden and Wied

Wisconsin Farm Bureau Endorses Van Orden and Wied

By Blake Jackson

The Wisconsin Farm Bureau Federation (WFBF) has endorsed Rep. Derrick Van Orden and Rep. Tony Wied for re-election to the U.S. House of Representatives, citing their support for Wisconsin agriculture and rural communities.

“These endorsements reflect the strong commitment both Rep. Van Orden and Rep. Wied have demonstrated to Wisconsin agriculture,” said WFBF President Brad Olson.

“Both congressmen have been strong advocates for Wisconsin farmers and have used their positions on the House Agriculture Committee to give Wisconsin agriculture a strong voice in discussions surrounding the farm bill, crop insurance, farm programs, trade, agricultural research and other policies that directly impact our farmers and rural communities.”

The endorsements were based on each representative’s support for key agricultural issues identified by Wisconsin Farm Bureau members. Considerations included policies related to dairy product labeling, wolf management, and support for the farm bill.

“Wisconsin Farm Bureau looks forward to continuing to work with Rep. Van Orden and Rep. Wied as they continue to champion Wisconsin agriculture in the U.S. House of Representatives,” added Olson.
