Hageman to Take Over as President of World Dairy Expo

The U.S. Genetics Manager at Semex Alliance has become the new president of World Dairy Expo. Bill Hageman was elected as the new leader of the group during its annual director's meeting this month. He has been a member of the WDE board since 2008. Hageman succeeds Alan Deming as president, who has held the position since 2015.

Other officers on the board include Jane Griswold, Hoard's Dairyman, vice chair; Mike Hellenbrand, purebred breeders of WDE, first vice president; Debbie Crave, second vice president; and Bob Hagenow, secretary/treasurer.

Also serving on the Executive Committee are Scott Bentley, WDE general manager; Dave Bollig, overall Dairy Cattle Show superintendent; Joan Lau, at-large representative; Tom Morris, Dairy Cattle Exhibitor Committee chair; Bryan Voegeli, purebred breeders of WDE; and Doug Williams, Commercial Exhibitor Committee chair.

And newly elected board members are Dave Jons, Dairy Agenda Today; Dave Kuehnel, Rule of Three Solutions; and Elizabeth Sarbacker, Furst-McNess Company.

The 2019 Dairy Cattle Exhibitor Committee re-elected Tom Morris, industry representative, and Bryan Voegeli, National Brown Swiss representative, as committee chair and vice chair, respectively.

World Dairy Expo is scheduled for October 1-5 at the Alliant Energy Center in Madison.
