Wisconsin Youth to Serve on Cooperative Network Youth Board
Wisconsin Ag Connection - 03/13/2018

Three Wisconsin high school students have been elected by their peers to serve on the Cooperative Network's Youth Board. During the Co-ops Yes! Youth Leadership Conference in Eau Claire this month, Alexander Boehm, Galesville; Carisa Cleven, Kendall; and Wyatt Hamilton, Alma, were chosen to sit on the panel for the coming year.

"Cooperative businesses are committed to education, training and information for the next generation of cooperative members and leaders," said Ethan Giebel, Cooperative Network's government services director. "Co-ops Yes! brings together students from across the Upper Midwest to learn about the cooperative business model, develop leadership skills and make connections."

As board members, the students will attend additional learning events, tour area cooperatives and aid in planning the next year's conference.

The two-day event offered Wisconsin and Minnesota students a variety of cooperative and leadership learning opportunities and focused on the theme: 'Co-ops Commit.'
