WBIA Online Bull Sale Averaged Over $3,500

This year's Bull Test Sale is being called a success by the Wisconsin Beef Improvement Association, despite having to be held online because of social distancing requirements. The event took place over the weekend at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville Pioneer Prairie Farm, where 53 bulls sold for an average of over $3,525 per animal.

Tim Ryan of Ryan Cattle in Lodi was one of the top selling consignments in the sale. His Angus bull was sold to Country Gate Farm in Reeseville for $6,500. Another Angus was sold by Greg Vannatta from Lancaster for $6,500 to Amos Troester of Gamavillo, Iowa.

The sale also consisted of Agnus, Red Angus, Simmental, and Simm/Angus bulls.

Buyers from Wisconsin, Iowa and Minnesota submitted winning bids during the sale.
