Upcoming Meeting Focuses on Assisting Struggling Farmers

A meeting is being planned for agribusiness professionals who work with farmers that are facing increasingly tighter financial margins during the current state of the agricultural economy. The program is titled 'Supporting Farmers During Challenging Times,' and is
being held January 24 from 9:00 a.m. to noon at the Millhome Supper Club in Kiel.
The forum is being sponsored by the University of Wisconsin-Extension offices in Manitowoc, Fond du Lac, Washington, Ozaukee and Sheboygan counties, in conjunction with several partnering agencies.
Speakers include Frank Friar and Becky Paris, financial consultants with Wisconsin Department of Agriculture's Farm Center; John Shutske, UW-Extension Specialist; and John Goeser, UW-Madison Department of Dairy Science Professor.
The Wisconsin Farm Center will also hold a presentation on how to analyze a farm's finances.
