Retallick Part of Beef Leaders Institute Class of 2019
Wisconsin Ag Connection - 07/09/2019
A cattle producer from Grant County is one of 20 members of the American Angus Association to graduate from the group's 12th Beef Leaders Institute.
Retallick is a former high school science teacher who now works full time on her family's beef farm, where she works as the operation's herdperson.
The leadership program is for members 25-45 years old to get an in-depth look at the industry outside their operation. It consists of a five-day tour to study quality genetics, genomic technology, feed yard management, a packing plant, foodservice and retail
distribution of CAB and much more.
This year's BLI took place June 17-21 in Missouri, Nebraska and Ohio. Participants were selected through an application process and are exceptional leaders who represent the Angus breed and cattle industry.
