Equalized Value of Residential, Ag Properties on the Rise

The Wisconsin Department of Revenue released its annual Equalized Values Report this week, which showed that the state's total equalized property value as of January 1, 2019, was $580 billion. That's a six percent increase over the prior year.

DOR figures note that growth occurred in all property classifications during the past fiscal year.

The equalized value of agricultural property rose three percent from 2018. Ag forest land was also up by four percent for the year.

Agency officials says 2019 was the first year that all counties had a positive change its in equalized values since 2007.
