2025 Wisconsin Dairy Board Election Results Announced

The Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection (DATCP) has officially certified the results of the 2025 Dairy Farmers of Wisconsin (DFW) Board of Directors election. Beginning July 1, 2025, eight newly elected dairy producers will start their three-year terms on the board.

The elected representatives and their respective districts are:

  • District 3: Gary Kohn, Medford - covering Lincoln, Oneida, Price, and Taylor counties
  • District 6: Alexandra Straschinske, Boyd - representing Chippewa and Eau Claire counties
  • District 9: Jeff Betley, Pulaski - serving Menominee, Shawano, and Waupaca counties
  • District 12: Stephanie Ann Hughes, Pittsville - covering Portage, Waushara, and Wood counties
  • District 15: Sandra Madland, Lyndon Station - representing Adams, Juneau, and Monroe counties
  • District 18: Rick Roden, West Bend - serving seven southeastern counties including Milwaukee and Waukesha
  • District 21: Chad A. Sime, Gays Mills - covering Crawford and Vernon counties
  • District 24: Virgil Haag, Mt. Horeb - representing Dane and Jefferson counties

A total of 10 candidates competed for eight open seats. Out of 1,731 eligible producers in these districts, 10.7% participated in the election. District 21 saw the highest turnout, with 19.3% of producers casting ballots. The election concluded on May 23, 2025.
