The annual Ag Day at the Capitol will return in person at the Monona Terrace in Madison later in the spring. The March 29 forum is the largest gathering of farmers from across the state representing a variety of farm groups to learn more about priority state issues, and to lobby their state lawmakers as a unified voice for agriculture.
The event gets underway with lunch, a briefing on state issues, followed by a walk to the Capitol to meet with representatives to discuss issues important to Wisconsin farmers.
Organizers say hot topics this year will include inflation, farm expansion regulations, climate change and more.
Major sponsors of the event include the Wisconsin Farm Bureau, Rural Mutual Insurance Company and GROWMARK Inc., Dairy Business Association, Professional Dairy Producers of Wisconsin, Wisconsin Cattlemen's Association, Wisconsin Corn Growers Association, Wisconsin Hemp Alliance, Wisconsin Horse Council, Wisconsin Pork Association, Wisconsin Potato & Vegetable Growers Association, Wisconsin Soybean Association and the Wisconsin State Cranberry Growers Association.
