A barn near Albion was completely destroyed by fire on Sunday when a controlled burn near the structure was spread by windy conditions.
According to the Dane County Sheriff's Department, crews responded to the blaze around 10:30 a.m. to find the barn fully engulfed in flames.
It was empty at the time and no people or animals were hurt in the blaze. But the estimated property loss is said to be over $75,000.
There have been several reports of barn and other buildings being loss to fire this spring because of controlled burns that got out of hand.
