Beef Displays Unleashed: Wisconsin 4-H Youth Educate and Engage!

The Wisconsin Beef Council and Wisconsin 4-H Foundation have teamed up to introduce an exciting display contest for all Wisconsin 4-H beef project members. Designed to engage and educate consumers attending fairs and other summer events, the contest encourages participants to create eye-catching displays that convey important information about the beef industry.

Under the representation of their local 4-H club, participants can submit one entry per club in any of the contest's three categories. These categories include showcasing how beef is raised, highlighting how beef can fit into one's lifestyle, and emphasizing the various benefits of beef to our daily lives, such as sustainability and by-products.

Entries will be evaluated based on creativity, educational value, reach, and teamwork. The display should creatively present accurate information, incorporating graphics, colors, and pictures to captivate fairgoers. Content should stem from reliable sources like the Wisconsin Beef Council website or the Beef. It's What's for Dinner website, as well as personal experiences and photos.

Winners from each category will receive a special beef prize package. The contest aims to foster teamwork and interaction with fairgoers, ensuring that all team members contribute to the final product and engage with visitors.

To enter, participants must submit their responses, supporting materials, and photos to the Wisconsin Beef Council via email or mail. The deadline for submissions is September 30, 2023. The provided contact information should include the 4-H club name, team members, fair or event where the display was presented, and plans for future events.

This contest serves as a platform for Wisconsin's youth to showcase their knowledge of the beef industry, develop educational displays, and engage with consumers. By encouraging creativity and accurate information sharing, the contest cultivates a new generation of informed advocates for the beef industry.
