Blue Ribbon Sale Foundation Scholarship Winners Selected



The winners of the 2022 Governor's Blue Ribbon Livestock Auction Scholarships have been announced. Governor Tony Evers presented the 21 scholarship recipients with a certificate of recognition during this week's Wisconsin State Fair in West Allis.

A total of 30,000 in scholarships were given out during a presentation.

Claire Duch of New London received a $3,000 scholarship. Top students earning $2,000 include Shade Matde Bunker, Sparta; Amy Jentges, Port Washington; Avery Crooks, Lancaster; and Trenna Mae Cherney, Wonewoc.

Winners of $1,500 scholarships were Isabell Kemper, Mauston; Amara Bugenhagen, Mukwonago; Anna Sschoenike, Jefferson; Emily Graber, Mineral Point; Samantha Rake, Lodi; and Paul Loosen, Hartford.

The $1,000 winners are Trent Laufenberg, Melrose; Miriam Shofner, Weyauwega; Brayden Peter, Howards Grove; Leah Hutchthausen, Stoughton; Cole Slark, Markensan; Kelly Gaffney, Barneveld; Breanna Schnell, Bonduel; Ross Lindsey, Mineral Point; Taylor Henningfield, Cross Plains; and Payton Van Schyndle, Cuba City.

Given on an annual basis, the recipients are recognized for their leadership skills, academic achievements, accomplishments as Wisconsin State Fair Junior Livestock exhibitors and potential as future contributors to the livestock industry. The awards are used to assist them with their educational expenses.
