Boost your farm - Dunn county meet-up

Boost your farm - Dunn county meet-up

By Blake Jackson

Grow your business and access valuable financial and technical resources at a free, in-office meet-and-greet event on January 9th at the USDA Office (390 Red Cedar St, Menomonie).

The Farm Service Agency (FSA) and Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) offer a treasure trove of tools to boost your operation. Think low-interest loans, crop insurance, infrastructure cost-shares, conservation plans, and much more. Please pre-register for this event at gofarmconnect.org.

This event is not just for Dunn County folks! Residents and staff from Eau Claire, Chippewa, and Barron counties are also welcome to join and discover:

Startup and expansion loans: No dream is too big, from launching your farm to scaling up production.

Equipment funding: Upgrade your tractors, sheds, and more with financial assistance.

Conservation support: Plan for sustainable practices, cover crops, grazing systems, and even get help with cost-sharing for beneficial infrastructure like high tunnels and watering systems.

Don't miss out on these life-changing resources! Many farmers underestimate their eligibility for USDA programs, so come explore the possibilities and gain peace of mind for your future.

Meet the Experts:

  • Bonnie Warndahl: Your friendly Farmland Access Specialist from Renewing the Countryside and host of the Q&A session. She's also a Dunn County farmer producing beautiful flowers, beans, and mushrooms!
  • FSA and NRCS staff: Get direct guidance from the specialists who make these programs tick.
  • Go Farm Connect: This farmer-led initiative empowers you! Trained Peer Connectors, like Bonnie, provide one-on-one support to navigate available resources and ensure your success.
