The Edge Dairy Farmer Cooperative has recently awarded $1,000 scholarships to two Wisconsin students.
Grant Buwalda of Waupun is attending the University of Wisconsin-River Falls, where he will be entering his junior year in the fall and is studying agricultural business management with a minor in agricultural engineering technologies.
And Wyatt Dietsche from Loyal recently graduated from Loyal High School. He plans to attend the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point to study business administration.
This is the eighth year Edge offered the scholarship program to help finance higher education for the children of its members. Students competing for the scholarships were judged on academic achievement, leadership and participation in school and community activities, academic honors, goals and aspirations, recommendations and work experience.
Edge Dairy Co-op is a bargaining cooperative that verifies milk components and represents dairy producers on legislative issues.
