Class III Milk Price Rises to $22.45 for March



The USDA announced that the March Federal Order Class III milk price rose to $22.45 per hundredweight. That was $1.54 higher for the month, and $6.30 more than March 2021. It's also the highest federal order price since November 2020 when the price reached $23.34.

So far, the Class III price has averaged $21.25 during 2021. That's compared to $17.08 throughout 2021.

Meanwhile, the Class IV component price was 82-cents higher for the month at $24.82, and $10.64 over the previous year.

Last week, Wisconsin's all milk price for January was announced at $23.40 cwt., which was $1.80 higher than last month's price, and $5.90 above January 2021. It was also the highest all milk price since November 2014 when it reached $24.40.
