Cooperative Communicators Accepting Contest Submissions

The nationwide Cooperative Communicators Association (CCA) is accepting writing, photography, video, projects, and publication submissions for their annual cooperative-communication contest, featuring more than 50 categories.

"The contest provides an opportunity for cooperative communicators to demonstrate knowledge, expertise, and skills among a very talented and respected group of cooperative peers," said Contest Chairperson Michelle Geans, Baldwin EMC, Summerdale, Ala. "Industry professionals are hired to critique entries and select winners in a blind-judging process. We encourage our judges to provide valuable feedback, so the contest has an education feature, in addition to recognition."

CCA's contest is open to both members and non-members, but entries must have been created, produced, or published for the benefit of a cooperative organization between Feb. 1, 2022, and Jan. 31, 2023. Winning entries will be recognized during the annual CCA Institute in Portland, Maine, June 4-6, and are also displayed online through the "Winners Showcase" at www.communicators.coop.

CCA partners with the online program, Award Force, to make the submission process as easy as possible. Review contest categories and rules at www.communicators.coop. Brochures and checklists detail guidelines, recommendations, fees, etc. The early-bird deadline is Jan. 30 and the final entry date is Feb. 6.

CCA exists to improve the effectiveness of all cooperative communicators; advance professional standards and exchange facts, research, techniques, and opinions among cooperative communicators; and conduct an annual institute and other programs suitable to meeting the purpose of the association.
