Farmers, agricultural professionals, and crop enthusiasts are invited to attend the Mid-Season Crop & Pest Management Field Day on Friday, June 27, 2025.
The event will take place from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Chippewa County Research Plots, located at 15985 75th Avenue in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin.
This free field day offers participants a valuable opportunity to engage with Extension specialists and research experts on current crop conditions and pest management strategies. No registration is required to attend.
Attendees will observe alfalfa inter-seeded with corn silage, established in both 2023 and 2025, and participate in pest management scouting activities, including weed, insect, and disease identification.
Additional topics include forage inventory planning, an overview of the Farm Pulse grain marketing initiative, and a guided walk through the oats and barley variety trial plots.
The event will feature insights from several experts, including Matt Bolen, Nutrient and Pest Management Specialist; Teal Polzin, Farm Pulse Project Coordinator; and Jerry Clark, Crops and Soils Educator.
For further details, contact the Extension Chippewa County office at 715-726-7950. Don’t miss this hands-on chance to learn from experienced professionals and gain insight into mid-season crop conditions.
