Dairy Farms Benefit from Bovi-Noticias Safety and Tips

By Blake Jackson

Throughout 2025, dairy producers across Wisconsin and beyond have been sharing Bovi-Noticias, a bilingual newsletter for dairy workers, with their farm teams. This free electronic publication has been well-received by farm owners, managers, and employees alike, providing timely, research-based information that supports daily operations on dairy farms.

Each issue of Bovi-Noticias delivers expert insights on a wide range of topics, including cow nutrition, milk quality, farm management, and workplace safety. The bilingual format in English and Spanish makes it easy for owners and managers to share the information directly with their employees, fostering clear communication and understanding across the farm team.

“Thanks Bovi-Noticias!” says Julie Maurer of Soaring Eagle Dairy. “They are very well done and are useful as paycheck stuffers for me! I like the format and it’s nice that they have a safety aspect – keep these coming!”

The newsletter is a collaborative effort between the University of Wisconsin-Madison’s Extension Dairy Education and Farm Management teams. Its goal is to provide accessible content that strengthens on-farm practices, improves safety, and promotes more effective communication between dairy workers and decision-makers.

Producers can subscribe to Bovi-Noticias, delivered quarterly via email, at https://signup.e2ma.net/signup/2010717/1954380/.
