Dairy insights summit to tackle industry shifts

By Blake Jackson

Professional Dairy Producers® (PDPW) will host the 2023 Dairy Insights Summit on November 28, 2023, providing dairy farmers with an opportunity to hear firsthand from global dairy processors on industry trends, challenges, and opportunities.

The summit will feature a panel discussion on "Writing the rules to the market-access game," with panelists James McVitty, Martin Bates, and Ryan Baraniuk. The discussion will focus on the impact of local, national, and global trends on on-farm sustainability, consumer demands, and growth opportunities.

Other sessions will address the challenges of food waste in the production, distribution, and retail sectors of the food chain. Tara McNerney will speak on the impact of food waste on the planet and business profitability, while a panel discussion will showcase innovations and technologies being used to limit food waste.

The summit will be held at the Sheraton Hotel in Madison, Wisconsin. Registration will begin at 9:30 a.m., and the program will run from 10:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Registration fee includes the workshop materials and lunch. Dairy Insights Summit is an accredited training and offers up to 5.5 Dairy AdvanCE® continuing education units (CEUs) each day. To learn more or secure credits, visit www.DairyAdvance.org.
