DATCP to Host Global Dairy Symposium at World Dairy Expo



The Wisconsin Department of Agriculture will host a Global Dairy Symposium at World Dairy Expo this fall. The forum will be held on October 6 from 9:00 a.m. to noon at the Alliant Energy Center in Madison.

Presenters will share information on trends in production, COVID-19 pandemic impacts, economic fluctuations, supply chain challenges, climate change, sustainability, labor shortages, and trade conflicts. Each speaker will provide a 30-minute presentation and participate in a panel discussion moderated by lead editor of Hoard's Dairyman, Corey Geiger.

The presenters include Krysta Harden of the U.S. Dairy Export Council, Torsten Hemme of International Farm Comparison Network in Germany, Ad Van Velde from Global Dairy Farmers of the Netherlands, and Sheryl Meshke of Associated Milk Producers Inc.
