The Dodge County Fair Association, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, has announced a major fundraising campaign aimed at enhancing the Exhibitor Camping area at the annual Dodge County Fair.
The initiative is focused on improving safety, comfort, and accessibility for local exhibitors especially youth involved in agriculture who stay overnight to care for their animals during the fair.
Plans for the upgrade include converting the existing often-muddy grass parking space into a modern facility with 64 RV sites. Each site will feature electric, water, and sewer hookups.
The project also includes gravel roadways and diagonal parking spots for easier and safer RV access. These improvements will minimize the use of extension cords and provide a better experience for those staying onsite.
“Our exhibitors, especially our youth, put in countless hours caring for their animals and preparing for judging,” stated a representative from the Dodge County Fair Association. “Staying overnight is essential for them to ensure their animals are fed, watered, and ready. These camping improvements will offer them a safe, quiet place to rest and recharge, allowing them to continue their hard work.”
Supporting this initiative is a way to invest in the future of agriculture and the young people who are vital to Wisconsin’s farming community. The association has established five donor tiers for individuals and businesses:
- Platinum - $150,000
- Gold - $75,000
- Silver - $50,000
- Bronze - $20,000
- Copper - $5,000
All contributors will be recognized on permanent signage at the camping area entrance, invited to the ribbon-cutting ceremony, and acknowledged in press materials throughout the project.
The improvements are expected to be completed by August 2027. To be part of the initial project phase, donations must be submitted by September 1, 2026.
Tax-deductible contributions can be sent to:
