Eau Claire County students have the opportunity to win scholarship funds sponsored by the Wisconsin Farm Technology Days, Inc. board of directors.
The group is awarding three scholarships in the amounts of $2,000, $1000 and $500 award. Applications are due August 20 and winners will be announced on shortly after.
Students who graduated from a Eau Claire County, or neighboring county, high school are eligible to apply if they serve as a volunteer at the upcoming show in July at Huntsinger Farms. Candidates must be planning to pursue their education within the University of Wisconsin System or the Wisconsin Technical College System. They must be taking agriculture-related training, either long or short course.
Genetics, Landscape, Architecture, Biochemistry, Bacteriology, Food Industry, Horticulture, Agriculture Journalism, Environmental Science, and other agriculture-related disciplines are required to apply for the scholarship. Students must have volunteered at this year's Farm Technology Days near near Marshfield in order to be eligible for the scholarship.
Scholarship funds will be awarded after completion of the first semester of college.
