Mark your calendars for Saturday, October 18, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Pioneer Farm, 29200 College Farm Road, Platteville, WI, for “A Day on the Farm.”
This engaging event, organized by the Platteville Regional Chamber in partnership with the UW-Platteville College of Agriculture, offers visitors a hands-on look into modern farming and agricultural practices.
Attendees can enjoy a self-guided farm tour featuring educational stations set up by UW-Platteville agriculture students, providing an informative and interactive experience. Local businesses will showcase a variety of samples, giving guests a true “taste of agriculture.”
Families and visitors can participate in interactive activities, including trying out the Spray Applicator Simulator, watching an exciting dog agility demonstration, and taking photos next to real farm tractors. The event also highlights the milking parlor, where robotic milking machines demonstrate how milk is processed efficiently.
Children and animal lovers will delight in the farm animal petting zoo, meeting pigs, goats, calves, and horses up close.
“A Day on the Farm” promises a unique opportunity to explore agricultural education, experience farm life firsthand, and enjoy fun activities for all ages in a welcoming, family-friendly environment.
