Farmers, crop advisers, and agricultural professionals are invited to attend a field day focused on cover crop research and nutrient management on June 25 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Cherokee County Park in Colby, Wisconsin.
The event will feature research plots established by Short Lane Ag in partnership with UW-Madison Extension. Attendees will have the opportunity to examine a range of cover crop mixtures and evaluate how varying nitrogen application rates influence corn growth and yield.
Participants can walk through the demonstration plots, observe the research firsthand, and engage with experts to discuss trial results and practical applications for crop production.
The event is designed to encourage conversation about soil health, nitrogen management, and cover crop strategies that can improve farm performance.
Lunch will be provided by EPPIC at Cherokee Park, followed by additional networking opportunities and discussions on ongoing agricultural research projects.
