Forage Councils Planning Twilight Meeting for June 16



The Forage Councils for Dodge and Fond du Lac Counties will once again hold its annual Twilight meeting this summer. The June 16 gathering will be held at Gault Valley Farms near Neosho.

The third generation dairy farm has been in the Gault family since 1945. They crop 650 acres of corn, soybeans, alfalfa, and wheat, which is used to feed the herd of 315 Holstein cows and 250 youngstock. They currently milk 275 cows in 5 Lely robots which were installed in 2019. Rye and triticale are double cropped for additional forage.

Chad Staudinger of Dairyland Seed will be the keynote speaker. There will also be farm tours and soil pit starting at 6:15 p.m.
