The Iowa County Extension Office is hosting a Beef Quality Assurance (BQA) training and certification session on November 13th at 1 PM.

This event will take place at the Health and Human Services Building, located at 303 W. Chapel St., Dodgeville, Wisconsin.

The training is designed to provide U.S. beef producers with essential information on best husbandry practices combined with scientific principles for optimal cattle management.

BQA focuses on ensuring that beef producers implement high-quality management techniques that promote animal welfare and enhance the quality of beef products.

This program is crucial for those involved in the beef industry, as it helps producers meet consumer expectations and comply with industry standards.

Attendance at this event is free, but registration is required. Interested participants can secure their spot by calling 608-723-2125 or by registering online at www.beeftips.com. The training is open to individuals from Grant, Green, Iowa, and Lafayette counties.

For any inquiries, contact Kim Kester at 608-228-5400 or via email at kimberly.kester@wisc.edu.

This training represents a valuable opportunity for beef producers to advance their knowledge and skills in livestock management while enhancing the quality of their beef products.
