Over 85 college students have been selected to work in various internship capacities for GROWMARK this summer. The participants will be working at FS cooperatives in Wisconsin, Illinois, Iowa, Missouri and Ontario.
From the University of Wisconsin-Platteville, this year's interns include Andrew Mitzelfelt, Insight FS; Colleen Johnson, Insight FS; Jacob Mathias, Insight FS; Jess Bishop, Insight FS; Joseph Erickson, Stephenson Service Company; Kilynn Perdue, Stephenson Service Company; Karl Durrant, Insight FS; Kyle Haldiman, Insight FS; and Zachary Bednar, Insight FS.
Serving as intern from the UW-River Falls are Owen Zakrzewski, Insight FS; and Ethan Gredan, Insight FS.
From Blackhawk Technical College, the chosen interns will be Ryan Stilen, Insight FS; and Trevor Bausch, Insight FS.
And attending Fox Valley Technical College is Ryan Lindblom, Insight FS
The interns will be exposed to accounting, marketing, communications, and product and service-related activities. The group attended an orientation program at the GROWMARK corporate office in May, and will reconvene in June for an agribusiness tour. Each intern will complete a special project and deliver a presentation on that project in August.
The GROWMARK intern program began in 1959 with three interns. Since then, over 1,000 students have been involved in the program.
