Learn About Watershed Groups at Richland Center Event

By Blake Jackson

Farmers in Richland County and surrounding areas are encouraged to attend an upcoming informational meeting on watershed groups.

The event will take place on Wednesday, April 2, 2025, from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at American Legion Post 13, located at 900 Flag, N Park St, Richland Center, WI 53581.

The meeting is open to all farmers, including those involved in livestock, row crops, and specialty crops, as well as individuals interested in learning more about watershed groups.

These groups play a vital role in promoting sustainable agricultural practices, improving water quality, and fostering collaboration within the farming community.

Attendees will hear from a farmer panel sharing their experiences and insights on the benefits of participating in watershed initiatives.

Additionally, a speaker from the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade, and Consumer Protection (DATCP) will provide valuable information on available resources and support programs.

This event offers a great opportunity for farmers to connect, exchange ideas, and learn how watershed groups can positively impact their operations and the environment.
