Horse owners from all over the country will be heading to Madison next month for the 40th Midwest Horse Fair. The event, which is sponsored by the Wisconsin State Horse Council, is being held at the Alliant Energy Center on April 22-24, where people involved in the equine industry can attend educational seminars or learn about the latest products available through hundreds of exhibitors at the show.
After a two year absence due to the COVID-19 pandemic, organizers say this year's Grand March will feature 30 breeds of horses, ranging from tiny miniature animals to giant draft horses that are 17 hands tall.
As always, the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association rodeo also take place Friday and Saturday night at the Coliseum.
And visitors will have plenty of choices for lunch, as scores of food vendors will offer everything from pizza to turkey on a stick.
The cost to attend the Expo is $17.00 per day. For more information about all the weekend's activities, go to: www.midwesthorsefair.com.
