On-the-Farm Twilight Meetings Planned for August

The Wisconsin Counties Association, Wisconsin Towns Association and the Professional Dairy Producers of Wisconsin are partnering up once again to sponsor on-farm Agriculture Community Engagement Twilight Meetings this month. The events, conducted in different parts of the state, each include a tour of the hosting dairy followed by a relaxed discussion and ice cream. The discussion will provide a platform for open communication about issues important to our communities.

Organizers say the forums are an open invitation to the state's community leaders, elected officials, conservation officials, dairy and livestock producers and all citizens interested in learning from each other so Wisconsin communities can be vibrant and green.

This year's host farms include Nehls Bros. Farm, Juneau (August 23); Winch's Pine Grow Farms, Fennimore (August 24); Fischer-Clark Dairy Farm, Hatley (August 25); and Minglewood, Deer Park (August 26).

Each of the meetings begin at 6:00 p.m., followed by a guest speaker and question-and-answer time. They are free of charge.

To attend one of the upcoming ACE Twilight Meetings, reserve your space by contacting PDPW at 800-947-7379.
