Other Ag Commodity Prices Were Up



The average price received by farmers for corn during May in Wisconsin was $6.91 per bushel, according to the latest USDA Agricultural Prices report. That was two-cents above the April price and 98-cents over last year.

Soybean prices were 40-cents higher for the month at $15.90 per bushel, and was $1.30 above the May 2021 price.

The average oat price per bushel was $5.85--15-cents above April and $2.42 over a year ago.

And the all hay price in Wisconsin averaged $158.00 per ton in May. That was $6.00 higher for the month, but $6.00 lower for the year. Alfalfa prices averaged $168.00, which was $7.00 above the previous month, but down $5.00 from last May. The average price received for other hay was $128.00 per ton--$3.00 over April, but $6.00 lower compared to 2021.
