The average price received by farmers for corn in Wisconsin during March was $4.75 per bushel, according to the latest USDA Agricultural Prices report. That was a penny higher than February and $1.24 above the previous March.
Soybean prices were $13.00 per bushel, unchanged for the month, but dropped $4.70 lower for the year.
Oats averaged 16-cents more for the month at $3.15 per bushel, but fell 11-cents below March 2020.
All hay prices in Wisconsin averaged $159.00 per ton in March, down $7.00 from February and $14.00 below last March. The alfalfa hay price averaged $172.00 per ton, $7.00 lower than February and $8.00 less than in 2020. The other hay price averaged $117.00, down $1.00 for the month and $36.00 lower for the year.
