The Professional Dairy Producers of Wisconsin says another group of speakers are set to take part in the online Dairy Signal program this week.
On Tuesday, Christopher Clayton, who serves as the agricultural runoff section chief with the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources, will give an overview of how the NR 151 administrative rule will affect dairy producers.
Pittsville Fire Chief Jerry Minor will join Allenton Fire Department assistant training officer Ronald Naab on Wednesday's episode. They will talk about how local emergency responders and farmers can create a safer work area on the farm for employees and for responders.
And on Thursday, financial consultant Gary Sipiorski and Dr. Kevin Bernhardt of the University of Wisconsin-Platteville School of Agriculture will share how getting started in the dairy industry involves planning, whether it's establishing goals or understanding financial tools.
All episodes are free and available to the public, accessible from www.pdpw.org. They are streamed live at 12:00 noon or available on demand for later playback.
