The Professional Dairy Producers of Wisconsin says another group of speakers are set to take part in the online Dairy Signal program this week.
On Tuesday, Eric Snodgrass, principal atmospheric scientist for Nutrien Ag Solutions, will provide an overview of how weather patterns are affecting the United States and find out what's in store the rest of the summer.
Dr. John Goeser with Rock River Lab, who also serves as adjunct assistant professor in the Dairy Science Department at University of Wisconsin-Madison, will be Wednesday's presenter. He will talk about the nutritional analysis of the first hay crop in Wisconsin and how harvesting higher quality feeds can offset overall feed costs.
And on Thursday, dairy producers Kristin Quist of Minglewood, Inc. and Heather Moore with Moore Family Farms will explain how to add value to your dairy by diversifying on-farm sales.
All episodes are free and available to the public, accessible from www.pdpw.org. They are streamed live at 12:00 noon or available on demand for later playback.
