A technical services manager for CRV USA was among 15 American Farm Bureau members to graduate this month from the group's Communications Boot Camp. Kat Peper of Sauk County went through the intensive four-day course featuring sessions on working with the media, public speaking and messaging.
Peper and her husband, Brady, raise beef cattle and grow crops and hay on approximately 200 acres on their farm near Rock Springs. Additionally, Kat serves as the Promotion and Education chair of the WFBF's Young Farmer and Agriculturist Committee and is secretary of her local Farm Bureau.
"Women farmers and ranchers are passionate advocates for agriculture," said AFBF President Zippy Duvall. "I applaud our graduates as they increase their engagement with both consumers and elected officials and take the next step in their leadership journey in agriculture."
This is the 17th year of the Boot Camp program.
