One person has died and three others were injured after a Utility Terrain Vehicle crashed near Waterloo this week.
According to the Jefferson County Sheriff's Department, the accident happened Monday evening on State Highway 89.
Reports say a vehicle with two occupants was headed northbound when it struck the UTV, which was also carrying two people.
One occupant of the UTV was pronounced dead at the scene, and the other was airlifted to a local hospital with critical injuries. Both occupants of the vehicle were also transported to local hospitals.
The incident is still under investigation.
